A 2-year-old toddler who wandered away from his home was rescued earlier this month through a coordinated effort by first responders in South Haven.

The toddler, who resided with family on the city’s south side near the lakeshore, wandered off prompting first responders from the South Haven Police Department, South Haven Area Emergency Services and Matt Dey, who is in charge of the city’s beach enforcement staff, to search for the toddler.
